The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging the informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.
The League of Women Voters of Ohio has been working for redistricting reform for a long time. LWVO decried gerrymandering every time lines were redrawn to create manipulated districts. This spring the Fair Districts = Fair Elections Coalition that LWVO co-founded finalized a proposed citizens' initiative for Congressional redistricting reform which allows a bipartisan body to draw legislative districts.
